#HBFamily Chats: Being a Content Creator & Designer at Happy Bunch

From memorable moments & daily tasks, to advice he has for other working folks.

Do you wonder what a day at Happy Bunch Singapore is like? Today, we are huddling up with Isyak, our Content Creator & Designer to learn more about him, and his journey with Happy Bunch so far!

Isyak, Content Creator & Designer at Happy Bunch

How long have you been working with Happy Bunch?

I’ve been here for nearly 3 months now!

What is your role in our #HBFamily?

I’m the Content Creator & Designer at Happy Bunch. I take all the photos you see on our social media, which includes Facebook, Instagram, Instagram Stories, and Google Business. I also design all the visuals for the blog articles you see here, website, newsletters, and many more. Overall I work very closely with the Marketing team to generate content across all of our channels.

What do you like about your working experience with Happy Bunch so far?

While others enter their office to be faced with a cubicle, I come to the office and face a (literal) bed of roses, haha! There is a lot of room for creativity here, and for me to explore new territories. One thing I’ve recently been focusing on is how design can work well to boost SEO performance. I’ve found that when it comes with designing visuals and taking photographs, it is more than just about being aesthetically pleasing. The visuals also have to tell a story, and strategically engage anyone who sees it.

With the other #HBFamily members, we are able to bounce ideas off of each other, which makes it a very comfortable environment for me to explore all kinds of concepts and ideas. It makes me feel more confident when it comes to presenting my thoughts and proposals as well.

Tell us about one memorable moment you experienced at Happy Bunch.

One moment that I’ll never forget is definitely crossing the streets with tall towers of buckets. 20 buckets to be exact, haha! It was in preparation for Mother’s Day 2021 and everyone was all hands on deck. I had to grab extra buckets for the flower team and well, it’s definitely something I can’t say I’ve done before, hahaha! Like… check out my bucket list!

What is one thing you learnt that really stuck with you throughout your experience with us so far?

One big thing I learnt so far is to think more dimensionally—don’t just focus on one channel, but focus on how all the different channels come together to facilitate a customer’s journey.

Before joining Happy Bunch, I didn’t have much experience when it came to the strategising and planning of different channels. However, I now have a wider perspective on how much this shift in focus can make an impact on our audience.

If you were to describe your experience with us in 3 words, what would it be?

Smiles, Laughter, Research!

Smiles because everyone in the #HBFamily is smiley and friendly, laughter because we like to laugh (hahaha!), and research because we are constantly doing a lot of research to improve the Happy Bunch experience for our audience!

If you had to recommend one flower bunch or gift item to others, what would it be?

I really like the mini candles by To Be Calm! They smell so good, and in all honesty I haven’t come across any scent that I do not like from their range. If I had to choose one scent, my favourite would be Sea Salt & Eucalyptus.

What is one thing you’re excited for in the future, whether at work or in your personal life?

To meet more friendly faces as our #HBFamily expands! Yay!

What is one piece of advice you have for others who are pursuing their careers, whether at Happy Bunch or elsewhere?

Put yourself in a positive state of mind, and good work will follow after. And… stay safe!
